Dominica Association of Disabled People (DADP) 25th Anniversary Celebration

October 26th, 2008 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Dominica Association of Disabled People and to commemorate the event the Association has organized a series of activities.  The event is being observed under the theme: Celebrating our Unlimited Abilities.

This theme was chosen to correspond with that of the island's 30th Anniversary Reunion Programme currently being celebrated under the theme "Celebrating the Journey Together".  The DADP celebration began in May 2008 and will culminate in December 2008.  Here is the programme of activities that has been planned:

Plans are also on the way for a Cricket for the Blind Match against the National Radio Station Sports Club and another Cricket Club on a date to be decided.  The celebrations were officially launched on Friday, May 23rd, 2008 with a Press Conference. DADP is working in collaboration with the National Reunion Committee and its activities has been included in the country's Official Programme of Activities.

DADP welcomes messages of congratulations from the DPI family for inclusion in its Anniversary Magazine.  Submissions should be made on or before August 31, 2008.
