The Disabled Peoples' International North America and the Caribbean (DPI NAC) established an Office in Antigua and Barbuda after appointing Mr. Leslie A. Emanuel as its Regional Development Officer effective June 1, 2004.  Mr. Emanuel is a native of Antigua and Barbuda.

The DPI NAC Office is the clearinghouse for information and activity in the Region including creating programs, workshops, seminars and assorted training programs for the benefit of DPI NAC National Assemblies and their constituents.

Nestled in the rural village of Potters in the parish of St. George's, the Office is primarily staffed by the RDO and between January 2007 and February 2008, Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) interns (Carmen H. Hamilton and Crystal R. John respectably) as part of an International Youth Internship Program between CIDA and DPI that ended in 2008.

The RDO made a successful application to the US Peace Corps Office in Antigua for a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV), Mindy Nissenberg who took up staff position as a Project Development Officer starting February 25, 2008 for 6 months and successfully applied for an extension of 1½ months.

Until funds are secured for additional staff positions, qualified persons are invited to apply for a voluntary position at the DPI NAC Office using the following contact information:
